I've received some helpful feedback about the website. Some of you are concerned that this website does not emphasize enough what LMP is about to people who might stumble upon it, and should serve more of an information portal role along with the news role it is used for right now. I agree with these concerns, and have added links to the old website as a temporary solution to those who want to know more about LMP.
As for long term plans, the blog will be part of the overall website, but only used for news, upcoming events, and feedback -- it simply lacks the customizability to be used for anything else, but the fact that you can easily upload photos, edit news items, create polls, etc, is a big plus. I am trying to combine the overall layout of the old website with an easy-to-edit blog format for the news section--after midterms are done :).

LMPSU Summer Research Seminar - Preliminary Info
From Alex:
Hi all,
Looks like we are good to go for the Research Seminar on Wednesday November 18th from 4-5p.m. We have Dr. Opas confirmed as a speaker and most of you should be able to attend. In addition to Dr. Opas talking about the LMP Summer Research Program, I will give a brief talk on other research opportunities at U of T, and I am hoping that we can get someone who has participated in the LMP Summer Research Program to talk about his/her experience. If any of you participated in this program and are available and willing to talk about your experience at this event (~15 minute talk, ~5 minutes of questions) please let me know asap.
Date Needed for Upcoming LMPSU Academic Seminar and Sushi night
Due to conflicts with 3rd year exams, we need to pick a new date for this, do you guys prefer November the 20th or the 27th? (Poll is on the side)
